Complete Guide for Bride & Groom: What to Pack for Wedding Day Detail Photos

Hey brides! I’m sure your to-do list is a mile long and there’s a lot of stuff to remember to bring for your big day. To alleviate some of the stress, let’s plan ahead!

So you need to know what to pack for your wedding day detail photos?

You’re in the right place.

The first thing your photographer will most likely capture on the wedding day are the details. It’ll make both of our lives easier if everything is in one box ready to go when we arrive. Well, two boxes. One for the bride and one for the groom. This gets your wedding day off to a good start to ensure you remain on schedule and still get all of those gorgeous shots you want.

*Pro tip* One thing to keep in mind is that if you’re not going to be at the location when your photographer arrives, you can have a bridesmaid, friend or family member ensure the detail boxes are there, ready to go, for your photographer.

For the Bride:

  • All three rings
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Perfume
  • Garter
  • Loose Florals
  • Extra Ribbons / Accents
  • Invitations
  • Vow Book
  • Gifts/Notes

Also make sure we can easily access your dress, veil and the bouquet.

*Pro tip* If you want your dress to hang on a pretty hanger for the photos, be sure to grab one ahead of time. There are lots of cute ones with your new last name, the date, pearls, ribbon, or even just a nice wooden hanger will do. Anything but the plastic one that it’s most likely hanging on will be great!

For the Groom:

  • Tie / Bowtie
  • Cuff Links
  • Pocket Square
  • Watch
  • Cologne
  • Shoes
  • Socks
  • Belt / Suspenders
  • Boutonnière
  • Invitations
  • Vow Book
  • Gifts/Notes
